Aurora Helsley
Little River Electric member Aurora Helsley of Anderson won a $100 Visa gift card thanks to her participation in the co-op’s Beat The Peak program.
Hensley joined tens of thousands of electric cooperative consumers from across the state when she signed up to receive phone, email or text notifications that remind her to reduce electricity consumption during peak use periods. By voluntarily delaying the use of large appliances, adjusting the thermostat or just turning off some lights during that peak time, participating co-op members help keep wholesale power costs affordable.
Little River Electric members who participate in Beat The Peak are eligible for a $500 Visa gift card in the bi-annual statewide drawings and a $100 gift card in Little River Electric’s prize drawings.
